OUR STORY
We´re Pablo, Lucie and father Hernan, a Peruvian-German family with two little kids and one big mission: to spread green thinking and innovative education in a city that desperately needs it.
Arequipa, Peru, is facing a huge garbage problem. There is no system for separating waste and residents are not used to recycling. Meanwhile, the public school system’s dated pedagogical methods are limiting the possibilities for creativity and interactive learning.
We want to help change this. We are constructing a building using recycled materials and ecological methods, demonstrating the many possibilities for recycling and environmentally-conscious living. When complete, we will use the space to provide alternative courses and cultural activities for children.
